I had the opportunity to create a space related
limited edition miniseries of three images for Displate.com. Each image
had a print run of 1000 pieces. The challenge was to make the images
work on their own as well as creating a panorama in case someone buys
all three motifs. Also each image was supposed to have its own, vivid
color scheme.
The people over at displate.com were then responsible
to turn my artworks into something special by adding their special
touches for the unique metal prints. One part of this is a glossy
varnish on top of certain areas. I have to admit that this look is hard
to catch in a photo because it is living of the changing reflections
when you move the image/change your point of view in front of the image
in reality. While the photos here might look a bit crowded and overdone,
they absolutely rock as prints.
