This is part of a new series with a historical journey through the solar system. I wanted to create a small memento of the beginning of space missions and have recreated NASA's early space probes using old pictures and information. Sputnik is not from NASA, but was still a milestone for space travel. That's why the little sphere has been given a place in my series.
